Adams, Herbert Baxter

(1850-1901) Адамс, Герберт Бакстер
Историк, педагог. В 1876-1901 - профессор университета Джонса Хопкинса [Johns Hopkins University] (среди его студентов - В. Вильсон [Wilson, (Thomas) Woodrow] и Ф. Тернер [Turner, Frederick Jackson]). Одним из первых начал использовать в преподавании такой метод, как организация семинаров, заимствованный им в Германии, стоял у истоков исторического образования. В 1884 основал Американскую историческую ассоциацию [American Historical Association]; ее секретарь до 1900.
